Orange County Teacher Dies In A Crash

School counselors will continue to offer help after an Orange County teacher died in a crash Thursday morning. It was not yet known whether black ice was a factor.

New York State police say Minisink Valley Middle School technology teacher Christopher Corwin died in a one-car accident Thursday morning in Greenville. Police say he was traveling east on Route 6 when his vehicle left the road at a curve and struck a tree. Minisink Valley Central School District Superintendent Brian Monahan issued a letter to parents and guardians letting them know about the fatal accident and that counselors are on hand for faculty, staff and students. Monahan says Corwin had been an integral and invaluable part of the district, consistently devoting time and talents beyond curriculum requirements.
