Camp Rising Sun

As part of efforts to keep a unique summer camp in Dutchess County, alumni and friends are gathering in Rhinebeck Sunday to share stories of their experiences.

Camp Rising Sun is threatened with a move from its longtime location as it faces financial hurdles associated with updating buildings and facilities.

The 85-year-old camp where a young Pete Seeger once stayed also created a memorable summer for filmmaker Darren Aronofsky, director of "Black Swan" and "Requiem for a Dream".

Aronofksy spoke about his experiences at Camp Rising Sun with WAMC's Lucas Willard.
