New York’s 2015-2016 state budget invests in a major park in the Hudson Valley.

The Catskill Park Coalition announced it secured funding of $500,000 to promote economic growth and preservation measures for the Catskill Park. Co-Chair of the Catskill Park Coalition Ramsay Adams thanked Senators Jim Seward and George Amedore not only for the funding they helped secured for the park, but also for establishing a line item on which to build in the future. The line item for the Catskill Park will be used for comprehensive planning, land acquisition, stewardship and a grant program for small businesses. The line item was included in the Aid to Localities budget bill passed by the Senate and Assembly this week.
