Authorities Arrest Poughkeepsie Man In Connection With Woman's Death

Authorities say they've made an arrest in connection with the death of a woman whose body was found at a former psychiatric center in the Hudson Valley.

State police say officers obtained a warrant Tuesday and searched a former Poughkeepsie home of 27-year-old Jerusha Christie, whose body was discovered March 17 on the grounds of the former Hudson River Psychiatric Center in Hyde Park. The search led to the arrest of 33-year-old Gerome Harris of Poughkeepsie on a charge of hindering prosecution. No details on the charge were given. Authorities say Christie's death is being investigated as a homicide. She was last seen in Poughkeepsie a day before her body was discovered.  Harris was being held Wednesday in the Dutchess County Jail on $50,000 bail. It couldn't be determined if he has a lawyer.
