There is something different about the appearance of Central Hudson Gas & Electric field employees in the Hudson Valley.
Field employees of Poughkeepsie-based Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corporation who have direct contact with customers now don uniforms. The idea is to provide increased reassurance and safety. A Central Hudson official says employees in uniform include those who read, install and test meters, and who prepare work designs for electric line and natural gas crews. The uniforms, with navy blue and khaki color themes, have Central Hudson and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union 320 logos on the left front, and Central Hudson’s name across the back in reflective material.
