NY AG Alleges Dentist Stole From Medicaid

A New York dentist has been arrested for allegedly filing false claims and stealing thousands of dollars from Medicaid.

New York state Attorney General Eric Schneiderman alleges the Manhattan dentist stole more than $11,000 from Medicaid. 64-year old Howard Rothenberg, of West Nyack, in Rockland County, allegedly claimed to have provided services to patients he never met or who he treated only in prior years. The defendant is a licensed, practicing dentist. Schneiderman says the alleged Medicaid theft occurred between January 2010 and August 2013. The investigation is continuing.
