Connecticut Man Pleads Guilty To Bank Robbery Spree

A Connecticut man has pleaded guilty to seven bank robberies across four states. Two robberies were in the Hudson Valley.

U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara says 36-year-old Andrew Rendflash  pleaded guilty to seven bank robberies and a convenience store robbery in New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island between April 2013 and January this year. Bharara says Rendflash pleaded guilty to robbing a First Niagara Bank in Ridgefield, Connecticut in January; and, in December, a Citizen’s Bank branch in Coventry, Rhode Island; a People’s United Bank in Brewster, New York; and a People’s United Bank in Holyoke, Massachusetts. He also pleaded guilty to robbing a Chase Bank in Somers, New York, in November; a TD Bank in Waterbury, Connecticut, also in November, 2013; a Naugatuck Savings Bank in Southbury, Connecticut in April 2013; and a convenience store in Waterbury, Connecticut, in November.
