The first details on potential debates are emerging in a New York congressional race.
The Chris Gibson for Congress campaign has invited the Sean Eldridge campaign to accept a debate schedule for the fall. Incumbent Republican Chris Gibson’s campaign proposes three debates and a joint editorial board meeting with the Poughkeepsie Journal, the latter with livestream at the end of September. Eldridge has accepted a debate by host WMHT for the Capital region. Gibson’s campaign has proposed two other debates for October, an Ulster County Chamber of Commerce debate and a League of Women Voters debate at the State University of New York at Oneonta.
An Eldridge spokeswoman says they are looking forward to sitting down with the Gibson campaign and scheduling multiple debates.
