Police Identify Family Members Found Dead In Dutchess County

State Police have identified the family involved in a fatal shooting incident in Dutchess County.

Police say a father and his two sons were found dead in Pleasant Valley, apparently all from gunshot wounds. Police identified them as 49-year-old Abbas Lodhi, 9-year-old Zain Lodhi, and 13-year-old Mugthba Lodhi. Police Thursday morning responded to a 9-1-1 call of an unresponsive male in a vehicle in the A&P supermarket parking lot. They arrived to find the father and one of his sons, dead. Troopers then went to the victims’ residence in the town and found the second son, also dead. State police say they did recover a gun at the A&P parking lot. As of Thursday night, police were using aviation and K9 units to locate a missing woman - 43-year-old Sarwat Lodhi - who they described as a victim in this tragedy and possibly injured and in need of medical attention. The two boys attended schools in the Arlington Central School District, where grief counselors will be on hand Friday. One was a fourth grade student at West Road Intermediate School, the other an eighth grade student at LaGrange Middle School.

The attached photo is of Sarwat Lodhi.  Anyone with information or knowledge of her whereabouts is asked to contact the New York State Police, Troop K.
