Current GOP Chairman Robert Krahulik said Hicks had “a passion” for politics.

Current Warwick Town Supervisor Michael Sweeton said Hicks was his best friend and mentor.

“He accomplished so much for, certainly the Republican Party, and so many people he touched,” Sweeton said.  “It is a great loss for us.”
