Hudson River Housing Renames Dutchess Shelter
During its annual dinner and auction Thursday evening, Hudson Riving Housing will announce the renaming of a homeless shelter in honor of a former executive director.
The 20th annual Evening by the Hudson event will include a special tribute to Gail Webster, who served Poughkeepsie-based Hudson River Housing as executive director for more than 20 years. She died in July. During the event, agency officials will announce the renaming of the Dutchess County Coalition for the Homeless emergency overnight shelter as Webster House, the Gail V. Webster Memorial Shelter for the Homeless. Hudson River Housing develops and manages affordable housing in Dutchess County.
