Conservative PAC Fundraiser Features Nan Hayworth

An invitation to a fundraiser looks like a former Congresswoman in New York is one step closer to making another run for the House seat she lost in 2012.

The invitation is from Maggie’s List, a Tallahassee, Florida-based political action committee aimed at increasing the number of conservative women elected to public, federal office.  The invite says the featured guest is Nan Hayworth, candidate for U.S. congress. Hayworth has not officially announced a run. The invitation puts her as a candidate for the 19th district, which was the seat she held when elected in 2010 and which changed to the 18th after redistricting. It was the 18th congressional district race she lost to Democrat Sean Patrick Maloney. Hosting the event later this month is co-chair of the Republican National Committee’s Finance Committee and CEO of Borghese cosmetics Georgette Mosbacher. The 18th congressional district includes all of Orange and Putnam Counties and parts of Dutchess and Westchester.
