New York’s Secretary of State will be in the Hudson Valley Monday afternoon.
Secretary of State Cesar Perales will tour Walkway Over the Hudson and review recently funded Department of State projects on both the Poughkeepsie side, in Dutchess County, and the Lloyd Side, in Ulster County. Walkway and area officials will accompany Perales to visit the newly constructed East Pavilion; the site for the Washington Street Plaza renovation project; and the Walkway waterfront elevator construction project. They will also check out the west observation area to see Bob Shepard Park in Lloyd, and talk about ideas for connecting the park to the Walkway and expanding riverfront access. DOS is providing a grant to the Town of Lloyd for shoreline stabilization, a boat launch, and repairs to the dock.
