Rotterdam, NY – Democrat Paul Tonko ended election night on a high note at Mallozzi's Restaurant in Rotterdam, New York, becoming the new representative for New York's 21st congressional district. Tonko beat out Republican candidate Jim Buhrmaster - head of the family owned Buhrmaster Energy Group, and a second term Schenectady County Legislator. The district was previously represented by Democrat Michael McNulty, who decided to retire well ahead of this year's primary season.
