Enjoy a mindful evening at Overmountain!
Join Joy Solomon, certified mindfulness meditation teacher, for a guided thirty-minute meditation practice inspired by and overlooking stunning Catskill Mountain views. Drawing from over ten years of meditation teaching experience and countless hours exploring trails and trees, this accessible practice will be grounded in nature.
Whether new to meditation or seasoned with an established practice, this program offers a unique opportunity to experience stillness amid the wonder of nature. No prior experience is necessary!
What to expect: We will walk about a half-mile to and from the Kite’s Hill Gazebo along the Kestrel Trail, which features open, grassy terrain and a max grade of 9%. The program will also include sitting for an extended period during the meditation. Additional trail information can be found here. Please note that this event will still occur in light rain or snow, but registrants will be contacted in extreme weather!
What to bring: Please wear weather-appropriate clothing and footwear and bring additional layers, water, and a blanket or chair.
What not to bring: Please, no dogs.
