On Sept 30th, Veterans In A New Field play Civil War-era historical and folk music of the Union Irish Brigade! Their playlist includes period songs about those who ventured out on the waters of the Rondout, the canals, the Hudson and the oceans across the globe; barges, tugboats, steamboats, fishing boats, sloops, clippers and whalers. Each song tells a tale some happy, some sad and some cautionary but all fascinating. That fiddle is sure to make you weep for the boys from Eire! Grab yourself a seat!
