Grammy Award winner organist Paul Jacobs will be playing music by Bach, Mozart, Franck, and Buck to celebrate the recent restoration and reinstallation of its historic E.M.Skinner organ after it was damaged in a fire in 2020. This concert is free and open to the public, thanks to generous grants from the Thornwillow Institute and Foley-Baker, Inc. Heralded as “one of the major musicians of our time” by Alex Ross of The New Yorker, as “America’s leading organ performer” by The Economist, and as “a grand New York institution” by James R. Oestreich of The New York Times, the internationally celebrated organist Paul Jacobs combines a probing intellect and extraordinary technical mastery with an unusually large repertoire, both old and new.
