The late Bernice Massé Rosenthal’s art over a span of five decades will be on exhibit at the Burnett Gallery during Jones Library hours The opening reception will be on Sunday, April 2, from 2:00 until 4:30 pm. 

Bernice’s maxim was "Transforming Discard into Beauty and Meaning". As an inveterate recycler, she found objects that were discarded and presumed useless or offcuts from woodworking projects that became the wood assemblages for which she is known, along with paintings and collage. Whimsy is to be found along with the serious. Her approach to art was imaginative in concept, deliberate in process, skilled in technique and meticulous in execution.
