Bruce W. Dearstyne will share history stories from his recent books, The Spirit of New York: Defining Events in the Empire State’s History (SUMY Press, 2022), The Crucible of Public Policy: New York Courts in the Progressive Era (SUNY Press, 2022) and Progressive New York: Change and Reform in the Empire State, 1900-1920: A Reader (SUNY Press. 2024). He will also reflect on the lessons of history. There will be time for questions and discussion.
