Work crews in the city of Albany have been quite busy in the area of Washington Park that brushes up against South Lake Avenue — right across from the site of the August 2016 sinkhole that opened up and swallowed a small SUV, prompting a citywide emergency. The new construction activity brings great engineering and technological changes to Washington Park Lake. WAMC's Capital Region Bureau Chief Dave Lucas spoke with Albany City Water Commissioner Joe Coffey about the project.
