State Probing NY Hotel's Complaints About Rowdy Prison Guards

State officials have started an internal investigation after guests and staff at an Albany hotel complained about late-night raucous behavior by a group of prison guards.

The Times Union reports the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision says it's investigating the actions of dozens of correction officers who stayed earlier this week at Hilton Garden Inn adjacent to Albany Medical Center. Albany police say officers responded to noise complaints three times during a five-hour span involving partying by members of the New York State Correctional Officers and Police Benevolent Association, who were in Albany for a news conference at the State Capitol.

A spokesman says the union says it's looking into the matter.
