Albany County Sheriff Craig Apple’s son, Kyle Apple, was arrested for drunken driving early Saturday morning after a crash at Central and Colvin Avenues. The Times Union reports Kyle was found inside his disabled car with keys still in the ignition and engine running. The 21-year-old allegedly was found with an open can of beer, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
Apple, a Democrat who is running unopposed for a second term this year, told the Times Union, "I've been preaching to everybody for 25 years, and I apparently I didn't preach enough in my own house."
