Albany Symphony's 2014-15 Season Opening Night With Joshua Bell

The Albany Symphony Orchestra opens its 85th Anniversary Season on Saturday, September 6th.

Joshua Bell’s breathtaking virtuosity makes its return to Albany that night with a performance of Bruch’s Violin Concerto, arguably the most famous concerto in the repertoire.

Plus, there will be the twists and turns of the theme in Elgar’s Enigma Variations and the award-winning, riveting and rich composition from the orchestra’s Andrew W. Mellon Composer Educator, Clint Needham. Grammy Award winner and ASO Music Director David Alan Miller joins us this morning for a preview.

Joe talks to people on the radio for a living. In addition to countless impressive human "gets" - he has talked to a lot of Muppets. Joe grew up in Philadelphia, has been on the area airwaves for more than 25 years and currently lives in Washington County, NY with his wife, Kelly, and their dog, Brady. And yes, he reads every single book.
