Paul Nolan In "Once" On Broadway

    Actor, Paul Nolan has returned to Broadway as the “Guy” in the musical, Once. Based on the 2006 movie of the same name, Once has a script by Enda Walsh, music and lyrics by Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová, was directed for the stage by John Tiffany and won 8 statuettes (including won for Best New Musical) at the 2012 Tony Awards.

Nolan’s last stop on Broadway had him playing Jesus of Nazareth in the 2012 revival of Jesus Christ Superstar. He originated that role at The Stratford Festival of Canada where he was also seen as Cousin Kevin in The Who¹s Tommy, Tony in West Side Story, Orlando in As You Like It and Al Joad in The Grapes Of Wrath. Last year San Diego audiences saw him as Ben Nickel in the World Premiere of Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots (conceived and directed by Des McAnuff and Wayne Coyne of the Flaming Lips) at the La Jolla Playhouse.

Sarah has worked in radio since she graduated from college in 2006. In her work with WAMC, she often interviews regional and global artists in all fields including music, theatre, film, television, and visual arts. During the main thrust of the Covid-19 pandemic shut-down, Sarah hosted a live Instagram interview program "A Face for Radio Video Series." On it, Sarah spoke with artists about the creative activities they were accomplishing and/or missing. She is on the board of WAM Theatre and lives in Albany, New York with her husband, Paul, and their dog, Doritos.
