2013 Lake George Music Festival

The Lake George Music Festival was founded three years ago with the goal of bringing some of the world’s most promising musicians to Lake George.

As executive director of the festival, Alexander Lombard, has seen his vision of bringing free classical music to the people thrive. This year's festival opens this Friday and runs through Aug. 22. It will, once again, bring celebrated composers and an original commission to audiences. Seventy musicians, including some of the most prestigious names in classical music, will perform at venues around the village.

Alexander Lombard, joins us this morning as does Barbora Kolarova, the festival’s Artistic Director and their Music Director – Roger Kalia.

Joe talks to people on the radio for a living. In addition to countless impressive human "gets" - he has talked to a lot of Muppets. Joe grew up in Philadelphia, has been on the area airwaves for more than 25 years and currently lives in Washington County, NY with his wife, Kelly, and their dog, Brady. And yes, he reads every single book.
