Scam Advisory: We have been made aware that an online entity is posing as Joe Donahue to invite authors and other creatives onto our radio shows. The scammers then attempt to charge guests an appearance fee for exposure/publicity.

Boston Early Music Festival

Kathy Wittman

The Boston Early Music Festival (BEMF) will return to the Berkshires this summer with Almira, the first opera by the celebrated and beloved Baroque composer, George Frideric Handel in its first modern-day historically conceived production.

BEMF will offer three fully-staged performances of the production at the Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center on Friday and Saturday, June 21 and 22 at 7pm, and Sunday, June 23 at 2:30pm; all performances will be sung in German with English supertitles.

Three-time Grammy-nominated Artistic Co-Director Paul O’Dette joins us.

Joe talks to people on the radio for a living. In addition to countless impressive human "gets" - he has talked to a lot of Muppets. Joe grew up in Philadelphia, has been on the area airwaves for more than 25 years and currently lives in Washington County, NY with his wife, Kelly, and their dog, Brady. And yes, he reads every single book.
