Albany, NY – Kathy Stevens is the founder and director of Catskill Animal Sanctuary, an 80 acre farm in the Hudson River Valley that has provided shelter for more than 1700 animals since 2001. Many of them have found permanent homes. Stevens, while expanding the farm, creating a new vegan cuisine program and running a summer camp, has written a new book called "Animal Camp." It begins with the story of three misfit animals - a pig, a cow and a horse, who bond during a summer at what Stevens dubs the animal camp. But it's a book with a serious message and some of it may disturb you.
