The legal recreational marijuana era is upon us in New York state.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has signed legislation to legalize adult recreational use of marijuana. Opponents warn that it will lead more people to use the drug and that traffic accidents will increase.  As soon as next year, New Yorkers 21 and over will be able to buy smoke-able and edible forms of marijuana in retail stores. They will also be able to sample the drug in tasting rooms similar to wine tasting venues. And they will be able to grow up to six cannabis plants per person, and 12 per household, at home.
