Albany Police say a shooting on Third Street Thursday afternoon is being investigated as a homicide, after the 34-year-old victim died of his injuries at Albany Medical Center. The incident was the fourth of five shootings in the city over a span of 24 hours.

Police say nine men sustained non-life-threatening injuries in two separate incidents on Second Street and Albany Street early Thursday morning. At about 2:15 p.m., police say a 21-year-old man was shot in the leg on Westerlo Street near Grand Street. And late Thursday night, police say a 28-year-old man arrived at Albany Med with a gunshot wound to his foot, claiming he was shot in the area of Second Street and Judson Street.

Police have not yet identified any of the victims.
