The Drug Enforcement Administration is preparing to hold its 16th National Prescription Drug Take Back Day this weekend.

The Take Back Day is scheduled for Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

During the events, people can bring unwanted and unused prescription medications to community locations such as police stations.

The New York State Police says the Take Back Day offers an opportunity to prevent drug addiction and overdose deaths.
