One day after suspending his campaign for governor, New York Republican John DeFrancisco said Thursday he won’t run for reelection to the state Senate, either. The Deputy Majority Leader told the Auburn Citizen that “I’ve served as well as well as I can possibly serve” over 13 Senate terms. DeFrancisco, who represents the 50th district, suspended his gubernatorial campaign when Dutchess County Executive Marcus Molinaro secured enough party support to win the nomination.
