The Albany area’s Colonie Center was briefly placed on lockdown yesterday after reports of shots fired.
Just after 5p.m. Sunday Colonie Police responded to reports of shots fired in the food court at Colonie Center. Local area media are reporting 33-year-old Trashalla Gillbey of Schenectady allegedly had a dispute over a missing cell phone, began yelling, and indicated he had a gun. Authorities say Gillbey did not have a gun and no shots were fired. No one was injured during the incident.
Mall security detained Gillbey and he remains in the custody of Colonie Police. Gillbey was charged with criminal nuisance, disorderly conduct and unlawful possession of marijuana.
