New York Congressman John Faso, a Republican of Kinderhook, will not vote for the House republican tax plan in its current form, according to a press release. Faso says the plan does not do enough to ease tax burdens.

"I have consistently stated that my goals for tax reform are to increase economic growth, increase worker paychecks, incentivize small business investment and ensure New York families are better off.  Unfortunately, I do not believe the current tax bill being considered by the House meets all of these goals," Faso said.  "As such, I will vote no when the bill is considered in the House of Representatives tomorrow.

Faso says the elimination of state and local tax deductions would impact New York families more severely than any other state.
