U.S. Senators Bernie Sanders and Charles Schumer are calling for nationwide rallies later this month to show support for the Affordable Care Act and to oppose efforts by Republicans to repeal it.
In a joint letter to Senate colleagues, the Vermont Independent and New York Democrat, said the “Republican Party’s plan to repeal the Affordable Care Act is in chaos.”
The former presidential candidate and current Senate Minority Leader together say the majority of Americans seek to preserve President Obama’s signature healthcare law.
Republicans including President Donald Trump have vowed to repeal and replace the law.
