Democratic incumbent Paul Tonko easily defeated Republican challenger Joe Vitollo, securing a fifth term representing New York's 20th congressional district.
Tonko, a resident of Amsterdam, won 63 percent of the vote on election night. He has served in the U.S. House of Representatives since 2009.
