Wisdom From The Oval Office

History Publishing Co.

“Ask not what your country can do for you,” ”Walk softly and carry a big stick” and “The buck stops here,” all well-known and often quoted sayings from Presidents John F. Kennedy, Theodore Roosevelt, and Harry Truman, respectively, but all of the presidents have said many things over the years, much of which has never been heard, or has been forgotten, until now. Pierce Word, a writer and historian based in Chicago, has collected all of those presidential quotes in the book Wisdom from the Oval Office-Words from George Washington to the Present, published by history publishing company.  The author broke down the quotes into 40 chapters, all with different themes Including democracy, god, liberty, life, trust and war, and each chapter begins with the early presidents and continues in order to Barack Obama.
