Plane Crash: Monday Morning's Update

The Stamford Advocate is reporting that the pilot of a small plane that crashed Friday night in Ephratah, New York has been identified.

The man identified as the pilot of the plane was John Campbell of Stamford, Connecticut. Campbell was a volunteer pilot for Angel Flight, a nonprofit group that arranges free air transportation for the sick.

The plane was carrying cancer patient Frank Amerosa and his wife to Rome, New York. They were coming from Boston, where Amerosa was being treated for brain cancer.

The bodies of Campbell and Evelyn Amerosa have been recovered from the crash site. There are still no signs of Frank Amerosa, who is presumed dead. Authorities say the search will continue today.
