Montpelier, VT – Members of the Vermont Legislature's Commission on Health Care Reform Tuesday received an update and refresher of a health insurance survey conducted earlier this year. WAMC North Country Bureau Chief Pat Bradley has more.

The Vermont Department of Banking Insurance Securities and Health Care Administration conducted a survey last fall that they presented to legislators in January regarding insurance coverage. Director of Analysis for the Vermont Division of Health Care Administration Dian Kahn reviewed the information for Commission members Wednesday. Kahn says overall it's not brand new information, but new details were added.

Vermont Campaign for Health Care Security Coordinator Peter Sterling says there was some new information released during the presentation.

The Legislative Commission requested a review of the survey because they are "regrouping" on health care reform. Commission on Health Care Reform Co-Chair Senator Jane Kitchel says the survey helps them target reforms.
