Climate Legislation Raises Praise and Concerns from Vermonters

Washington, D.C. – The House Energy and Commerce Committee late last week passed the American Clean Energy and Security Act, moving it forward for further House action. Vermont Congressman Peter Welch, who is a member of the committee, is calling the legislation extraordinary. While advocacy groups are pleased by the move, there are concerns about compromises that were made to get the bill through committee. WAMC North Country Bureau Chief Pat Bradley has more.
