Springfield, MA – The Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals....the MSPCA...is closing its only shelter and adoption center in Western Massachusetts. The decision is blamed on a sharp loss in the non-profit organization's endowment. Officials fear the closing will lead to an increase in the number of pets that are simply abandoned....WAMC's Pioneer Valley Bureau Chief Paul Tuthill reports...
