Burlington, VT – Officials from the Northeast are urging House leaders to support additional funding for the federal energy assistance program known as LIHEAP. The Coalition of Northeastern Governors, chaired by Vermont Governor Jim Douglas, has written to House leaders, urging they support the Senate-passed billion dollar appropriation. WAMC's North Country Bureau Chief Pat Bradley has more.
