Road through Smuggler's Notch in fall

It’s considered a sign of spring in Vermont: Vermont Route 108 through Smugglers Notch is once again open to traffic.
The steep, windy road from Stowe to Cambridge is closed to traffic in the autumn after snow makes the road impassable. It reopens in the spring when the snow has melted.

Because of heavy snowfall this year the road reopened five days later than last year.
