A self-described “whimsical indie musician,” Sparkbird found love in birding that they carry into their music. Sparkbird, the name of the musical project by Stephan Nance, uses their music to bring listeners into their head, appealing to the emotions of others while incorporating a theatrical essence. Nance and WAMC's Samantha Simmons spoke about their project ahead of the release of their new album “Head Like a Nest” on Nov. 14.
