Former Massachusetts First Lady Kitty Dukakis died Friday. Her son, John, told the Washington Post she died of complications from dementia. The wife of former Massachusetts governor and 1988 Democratic presidential nominee Michael Dukakis battled depression for over 20 years, which she then used as a platform to support others experiencing depression and suffering from addiction. She was 88.
