After months of debate and two vetoes by Mayor Gary McCarthy, officials in the City of Schenectady have adopted a city budget for 2024.
The all-Democrat city council passed the nearly $110 million spending plan in a special meeting Thursday night in a 4 to 3 vote.
McCarthy, a Democrat, immediately signed the budget bill.
