Foundation Unveils Design For Schoharie Crash Memorial

Reflections Memorial Foundation

A foundation planning a memorial to remember the victims of October's deadly limousine crash in Schoharie has revealed its plans.

The Reflections Memorial Foundation revealed renderings during a fundraiser Saturday afternoon in Amsterdam.

The design features 20 stone circles surrounded by a cement arch. The names and footprints of each of the passengers and the two bystanders killed in the crash will be displayed on 19 of the circles, while one will be left blank to represent everyone affected by the incident.

A tree would be placed in the center of the memorial and a stone banner with an inscription would be placed in front.

The memorial would be located near the crash site at the corners of NYS Routes 30 and 30A. The Reflections foundation must raise $250,000 for the project.
