Two Charged In Teen's Alcohol-Related Death

Sam Heroux
New York State Police

New York State Police have charged two suspects in the 2017 alcohol-related death of a Saratoga County teenager after a night of drinking. Troopers say 19-year-old Liam McGlinchey was highly intoxicated when he was left by his companions in front of his Clifton Park home the night of August 24th, 2017.

Police say McGlinchy had a blood alcohol level of .40 percent, five times the legal limit for driving while intoxicated.

Samuel Heroux, 21, of Cohoes, and a 19-year-old whose name is not being released because of his age at the time of the crime, have been charged with criminally negligent homicide.
