Red Cross Providing Cleanup Kits To Hoosick Falls Residents Impacted By Flooding

American Red Cross

Free cleanup kits have been made available to residents of Hoosick Falls impacted by recent severe storms and flooding that washed out several roads and damaged homes and businesses.

The American Red Cross has provided the kits that are being distributed to anybody in need at St. Mary’s Academy, where food shelter has been offered to anyone displaced by the weekend storms.

The village is asking for information on all properties damaged by the storm.

Governor Andrew Cuomo announced Tuesday that trained staff from the Department of Financial Services will be made available at the Hoosick Falls Armory beginning tomorrow to help residents with insurance claims.

DFS staff will also be deployed to Utica, also impacted by flooding over the weekend.
