Winter Storm Warning In Effect

National Weather Service

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning, in effect until 7 p.m. Monday.

Some areas could see up to a foot or more of snow between Sunday and Monday.

Officials across the region are asking residents to be careful as the Northeast braces for a second snowstorm in less than a week. A storm last week caused many communities to declare snow emergencies to clear streets.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is urging caution. Heavy snow will impact the majority of the state including Central New York, the Capital Region, the North Country and the Southern Tier

The storm could make for a messy morning commute on Monday.
