Two hikers in Albany County came across a dead body Friday.
Guilderland and Altamont police determined the victim found along Buttermilk Falls off Township Road to be Ross Herzog, a 30-year-old Altamont resident.
Authorities extracted Herzog’s body from the wooded area and brought it to Albany Medical Center. An autopsy Saturday reveled Herzog died of medical issues.
